Dutch flutist Mirna Ackers enjoys versatility, uniting her passion for music, love of arranging, and background in musicology in her performances. As the only Dutch participant in years, she reached the semi-finals of the prestigious Kobe International Flute Competition in 2025 – one of the world’s most renowned contests for flute players. Since the 2024/2025 season, Mirna has been a member of the North Netherlands Orchestra (Noord Nederlands Orkest). She also regularly performs with other leading Dutch orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. Alongside her orchestral work, she co-organizes Flutopia, an initiative that creates inspiring projects for amateur flute players. In the field of chamber music, Mirna maintains a long-standing collaboration with pianist Vital Stahievitch.
